Payment options, refund guarantee

1. Payments & Verification

  • Prepaid only: All Yesim services (Data plans, Virtual Numbers, VPN) operate on a prepaid basis. Services activate only after full payment is received.
  • Card verification: Adding a new card triggers a security €0.50 verification charge. This amount is immediately credited back to your account as Ycoins.
  • First Purchase with Gift Ycoins: When paying with promotional Ycoins for your first purchase, a €0.50 security deposit is required using a valid card. This amount is transferred to your Ycoins balance.

2. Auto-renewal

  • Virtual Numbers: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, provided you have a sufficient balance (or Ycoins) and the number remains technically available.

3. Brazil (Pix & IOF Tax)

  • IOF Tax: Payments via Pix are subject to a local 3.5% IOF tax, which is covered by the user.
  • Refunds: For approved Pix refunds, Yesim returns only the base cost of the product. The IOF tax is non-refundable.

4. Refund Policy

  • 30-Day Window: You can request a refund within 30 days of purchase if the service is completely unused. This means the eSIM profile must not be installed or connected to any network.
  • Technical Issues: If the refund is requested due to app errors, they must be reported to support@yesim.app within 1 hour of occurrence, accompanied by screenshots.
  • Refunds under €10: Approved refunds of €10 or less are issued exclusively as Ycoins to your account balance. Refunds to credit/debit cards are technically impossible.
  • Third-Party Marketplaces: Purchases made on external platforms (like Amazon or the App Store) follow that platform's specific refund rules. Refunds via Yesim means are not supported. To return funds paid via external platforms, please contact their support teams.

5. Disputes & Penalties

  • Support First: Please contact Yesim support to resolve any billing issues before initiating an official bank dispute.
  • Chargebacks: Unauthorized chargebacks or bank reversals will lead to immediate account termination.
  • Fraud Penalty: Severe violations (such as using virtual numbers for bulk spam, fraud, or bypassing security safeguards) carry a €1,000 penalty, deducted directly from your payment method or balance.
