1. Central Station
The most beautiful and the most popular places in New York begin with Grand Central Station. Arriving in the city by train, you will immediately get to the largest railway station in the world! It is located in Manhattan and is one of the main pearls of the district due to its size and solemn architecture. Many films were shot here — the environment looks like the perfect scenery: an old clock in the hall, an unusual Tiffany clock on the facade, decorated with sculptures and bas-reliefs, a ceiling with images of constellations, statues of Hercules, Minerva and Mercury on the roof. You could see footage from the Central Station in the films "The Avengers", "Armageddon", "Men in Black-2" and in the cartoon "Madagascar".
The kids will love to visit these places in NY too. In the lower hall there is a "whispering gallery" — 4 arches connected by a curved ceiling. If you stand in one corner near the column and whisper something, you will hear it at the other end of the hall, at a distance of 15 meters!
If you want to get to the station from another part of the city, you can take the subway and get off at 42-St — Grand Central Station. There are also many buses running nearby.

The popular places in New York are concentrated here — the famous Broadway, Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Wall Street and Times Square. If you want to admire the urban jungle from the outside, you can go on a three-hour walk around the island on a sea tram.
You can get to Manhattan from New York La Guardia Airport by bus in about an hour, and by car in 13 minutes.
